BIR rolls out online system for tax clearance submissions

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has finally rolled out its electronic tax clearance for bidding purposes and tax compliance verification certificates (eTCBP-TCVC) nationwide.

This was announced by BIR Commissioner Caesar R. Dulay after the project was successfully pilot-tested in selected revenue district offices in Metro Manila and other key cities.

The BIR chief said the online applications can be reached via the bureau's website at www.bir.gov.ph.

The application, together with other documentary requirements should be forwarded to the BIR centralized email address at [email protected]. using the prescribed template in Revenue Memorandum Circular No.121-2020.

"With the nationwide implementation of the program, revenue officers across the country can speed up the process of releasing tax clearances," Dulay said.

He said the management adopted the contactless submission of applications to further minimize the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
