President Duterte is satisfied with how the government is rolling out its vaccination program against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and that it gave him confidence the entire country can transition to the modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) soon, Malacañang said.

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles made the statement as the government started its vaccination program against COVID-19 this week.
In a virtual presser on Thursday, Nograles said the President was elated about the rollout but added that the latter wanted the program to be more aggressive.
"He's very happy na with the rollout, with what's happening in the rollout," he said.
"He wants to see more happening as a challenge to all of us. Gusto niya makita na mas malawak pa na (He wants a wider) rollout and he's very happy, obviously, to receive the next batch of vaccines, AstraZeneca, tonight," he added.
According to Nograles, the vaccination program gave President Duterte the confidence about allowing the entire country to shift to MGCQ, the least strict of the four quarantine classifications.
"That gives even more confidence, mas tumataas ang kumpyansa ni Pangulo (The President's confidence was boosted)," he said.
Over the weekend, President Duterte said he was seriously considering allowing Metro Manila to shift to MGCQ if he sees that the country already has at least 2 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines.
The Philippines has received 600,000 CoronaVac doses from the Chinese government on Sunday, Feb. 28, and is set to receive 487,200 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines from the COVAX Facility this week. Vaccine Czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said that 1 million more CoronaVac doses will arrive in the country this month, bringing the total number of vaccine doses that the Philippines will have to 2,087,200 shots.
With these vaccines, Nograles said the much-awaited shift of the entire country to MGCQ may happen soon.
"I foresee this to be something that will be in the works, sa (in the) second quarter," he said.
"Baka ito na yung tamang panahon na mag-shift na tayo sa MGCQ para sa buong Pilipinas (Maybe this is the right time for the entire country to be under MGCQ)," he added.
The Philippines will mark its first year under lockdown on March 15.
