Woman dies after falling in Alabang mall

A woman died after falling from the fifth floor of a shopping mall in Alabang, Muntinlupa Monday evening.

The Muntinlupa City Police Station identified the victim as Anna Lorraine Laderas, 29, a registered nurse, of Calatagan, Batangas.

The police are investigating if Laderas committed suicide based on the testimony of the mall’s security guard and CCTV footage taken inside the establishment.

Witness Roche Borres, a security guard, told the police that at about 6:17 p.m. while he was on duty on the ground floor of the mall, he saw the victim already sitting on the “barrier fence” on the fifth floor and jumped.

Borres immediately called the police for assistance.

The Muntinlupa police added that investigators were able to view CCTV footage that allegedly showed the victim jumping from the fifth floor of the mall.

Laderas’ body was transferred to the Our Lady of Loreto in Bicutan, Taguig City for autopsy.
