Regine Velasquez's unique 'Freedom' concert repertoire

Regine Velasquez made her fans happy performing over 20 covers and originals at her digital concert “Freedom” which streamed live on KTX.ph, Sunday.

Asia's Songbird started things off with “Freedom” and went on to amaze fans covering songs by Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa.

She also did an English version of Twice’s “Heart Shaker.”

“Bukas Sana,” a track which she has not performed live, was also featured, following a tribute to OPM.

She also sang The Juans’ “Istorya” and a very emotional yet soothing rendition of Ben&Ben’s “Leaves.”

One of the concert’s highlights was her performance with Philippine Rock icon Bamboo.

He sang “Masaya” prior to doing a duet for the ages with Regine in “Himala.”

Midway through the show, fan-favorite "On The Wings of Love," was performed by not 1, but two Asia's Songbirds in a once of a lifetime duet.

Regine, donning a yellow dress, offered a song for her son Nate and her husband Ogie Alcasid in "Crazy For You."

After thanking everyone who made the concert possible, Velasquez said: “It’s wonderful na kahit papano may ganito tayong platform because otherwise the concert scene will die. We’re able to give jobs to musicians. I also missed performing in a set up like this.”

Near the end of the show, Velasquez shared her most important realizations during the Pandemic and shares the kind of freedom that she wanted, "There's another kind of freedom that I'm praying for, to have a personal relationship with Christ because only with him, we can always find the truth, and you know what they say: 'The truth sets you free.'"
