San Juan City Mayor Francisco Zamora on Monday (March 1) announced that he tested positive for the COVID-19.
"I would like to announce that I have tested positive with the COVID-19. My results came out today after a routine swab test yesterday evening, February 28, 2021." he said in his Facebook post.
"I am currently asymptomatic and in good physical condition," he added.
Zamora said that he decided to quarantine himself at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center to avoid transmitting the virus to others and to his family especially to his wife who is a cancer survivor.
The mayor also urged everyone who he came in contact with in the past few days to have themselves tested.
"You may coordinate with Dra. Rosalie Sto. Domingo, our City Health Officer from Mondays to Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for this at the COVID-19 Operations Center, 2nd floor, San Juan City Hall," said Zamora.
