The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Monday recorded 17 new COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) cases and 21 new recoveries, among Filipinos abroad.
To date, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases involving overseas Filipinos is 14,914.
Of this figure, 4,496 are still undergoing treatment, 9,000 have recovered or have been discharged from various medical facilities worldwide, and 1,018 succumbed to the disease.
The number of countries and territories with confirmed cases among Filipinos abroad remains at 87.
No new fatality was recorded in the latest tally released by the foreign affairs office.
“The DFA, together with its Foreign Service Posts, continues to partner with host governments to ensure the safety and well-being of our nationals abroad amidst the pandemic,” the department said in a statement.
