Medical officers deployed in 4 barangays bordering Parañaque and Pasay

Medical officers have been deployed in four barangays bordering Parañaque and Pasay to conduct border checks between the two cities.

The four barangays are Baclaran, Tambo, Vitalez, and Merville.

Parañaque Mayor Edwin Olivarez said the deployment of the medical officers was made following reports on the alarming rise of COVID-19 cases in Pasay City.

“Nakipagugnayan na din po kami sa kapitan po doon, kasi ang pagkakaalam ko, nagorganize sila ng quarantine pass ulit kasi naka lockdown sila doon (We have coordinated with the barangay captains there because as far as I know, they started the implementation of quarantine pass anew since they are on lockdown),” Olivarez said.

“May border check po kami sa mga boundary ng Pasay (We are conducting checks in our boundaries with Pasay),” he added.

Pasay City had earlier placed 56 barangays under localized community quarantine after a surge in COVID-19 cases in the city.
