Nebrija celebrates his 'office's' special day

Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) traffic czar Edison Bong Nebrija celebrated a special day for his beloved office on Thursday, Feb. 25. No, we're not talking about the MMDA.

"This is Edsa, this is my office! It’s our day today, Happy Edsa Day everyone!" Nebrija wrote on a Facebook post.

The "Eagle Alpha" was of course referring to the 35th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution, a special holiday in the Philippines.

On the same post, Nebrija urged his followers to "be part of the new revolution" on EDSA that aims to benefit the ordinary Filipino commuter.

"Today as we commemorate the 1986 Edsa Revolution, it is my utmost prayer that all of us will also be part of the new revolution on Edsa as we try to improve the commute of ordinary commuting Filipinos to save them more time with their families and improve their productivity at work," he said.

He went on to plug the "New EDSA" community page on Facebook, which he is an active participant of. The page, which features posts about Nebrija's exploits along EDSA, has 9,882 likes as of posting time.

The 23.8-kilometer EDSA is the main thoroughfare of Metro Manila. It passes through the cities of Caloocan, Quezon City, San Juan, Mandaluyong, Makati and Pasay.
