A motorcycle rider died after he collided with a trailer truck in Tondo, Manila on Tuesday, Feb. 23.
Authorities identified the fatality as Rodulfo Penoliar Jr., 53, Lockheed security guard, and a resident of Sta. Ana, Bulacan.
Initial investigation showed that at around 2:20 p.m., Penoliar was seen moving at fast speed along Mel Lopez boulevard, near Pachero St., Tondo Manila before he bumped the rear chassis portion of the trailer truck.
The trailer truck was driven by Mateo Camacho, 47, and a resident of Tondo, Manila.
Penoliar sustained multiple traumatic injuries which resulted in his death. He was brought to a funeral home for autopsy and forensic examination.
Police said there are no closed-circuit television (CCTV) installed in the area where the incident happened.
The trailer truck driver, along with other witnesses, were brought by members of the Manila Traffic And Parking Bureau to the Don Bosco Police Community Precinct for questioning.
