'It's Showtime' host Jugs Jugueta criticized for body shaming Vivoree Esclito

If you don't know either Jugs Jugueta or Vivoree Esclito, it's okay as both are mere minor characters in local showbiz.

The two however, are gaining a bit of mileage recently.

Apparently, Jugueta thought it funny to body shame Tuesday a contestant on the "Hide and Sing" segment of "It's Showtime" by comparing her to Vivoree.

All because the VTR showed a hairy part of the contestant's arms.

“Si Vivoree ‘yan,” exclaimed the musician-TV host who gained notice prior as a member of novelty act, the Itchyworms.

While the other hosts of the show, including Teddy Corpuz, Vhong Navarro, Vice Ganda, Ion Perez and Jong Hilario laughed out loud to the poor excuse as joke, Karylle, was quick to air her displeasure.

She said, “Grabe kayo! Hits na yan.”

Karylee would go on to Remind Jugs: “Ako, I’m a very balbon girl also. Ganun lang talaga.”

Seemingly realizing his mistake, Jugs said, "That was just a joke. I’m sorry.”

It was too late though.

Netizens were up in arms, condemning him on social media.

Vivoree also reacted to the issue, posting a reminder about body shaming.

She also retweeted a post of hers from years back relating to the same.

Note that prior in an interview with Boy Abunda, Vivoree opened up about her being bullied most of her life for being hairy ass her biggest source of insecurity.

It is not yet known if "It's Showtime" management would actually sanction Jugs for his actions.
