Authorities are asking for the public's help locating a 60-year-old Filipina who has been missing for nearly two weeks after she was last seen hiking in the Angeles National Forest in San Fernando, California earlier this month.

Maria Loida Tice, a resident of Los Angeles County, was last seen on Saturday, February 13, between 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. on the Heaton Flat trail toward the summit of Iron Mountain in the unincorporated Angels Crest area of the national forest, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD).
The Iron Mountain is known as one of the toughest hikes in the San Gabriel Mountains of the Angeles National Forest.
LASD described Tice as a 5’4”, 130-pound woman with shoulder-length brown hair and wears glasses. Her last worn clothing is unknown.
Some reports, however, believed Tice may have been wearing black tights, a black puffer vest, a light lavender shirt and a green crewneck. It is also believed that she is carrying hiking poles and a backpack.
LASD’s detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating her as her family is “very concerned about her well-being.”
Any information on Tice's whereabouts may be relayed to the missing persons unit at 323-890-5500.
