40-year-old cop killed in Cagayan road accident

LAL-LO, Cagayan – A 40-year-old policeman assigned to the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) of the Cagayan Provincial Police Office (CPPO) was killed in a road accident on the national highway in Baragay San Lorenzo, this town, Sunday.

Police Lt. Col. Andree Abella, spokesperson of Police Regional Office 2 (PRO 2), identified the victim as Police Senior Master Sgt. Icasiano Bosi Jr. of Barangay New Orlins, Lasam, this province.

Investigation showed that Bosi was driving a Mitsubishi Montero with license plates PKI-394 bound for Magapit here when his right front tire suddenly burst.

Bosi lost control of the car and encroached the opposite lane and rammed a mango tree and concrete post.

Rescuers of this town rushed the victim to the Matilde A. Olivas District Hospital in Camalaniugan, this province but he was declared dead on arrival by attending physician Dr. Jane Beran Toribio due to serious injuries.
