DFA records 11 new COVID-19 cases, 8 recoveries among overseas Filipinos

Eleven new COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) cases and eight new recoveries were reported among Filipinos abroad, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said on Monday.
No new fatality was recorded in the latest DFA's global tally of COVID-19 cases involving overseas Filipinos.
This brings the total number of Filipinos infected with COVID-19 since the start of the outbreak in February last year to 14,812.
Of the total figures, 4,489 are live cases, 9,309 have recovered and 1,014 died due to coronavirus disease.Â
The total number of countries and territories with confirmed cases among Filipinos abroad remains at 87.
The department assured the public that together with all its personnel in various service posts worldwide, it continues to partner with host governments to ensure the safety and well-being of Filipino nationals abroad amid the pandemic.
