Aiko Melendez's stepdad passes away

Aiko Melendez is in mourning with his stepdad, Dan Castañeda, having passed away.

She shared her loss with fans on Instagram Sunday, writing: "Dad @dancas123. You will always be my one and only  Daddy! Thank you for always being here for me and my kids... You will be missed... 'Till we meet again."

She followed it up with another post that read: "Dad@dancas123 How? Help me, Dad. Pause."

Family friends and celebrities expressed support for the actress.

"My deepest condolences @aikomelendez. Mahigpit na yakap Sis," said Katrina Halili.

So sorry to hear this. My sincerest condolences," Coney Reyes wrote.

Carmina Villaroel also wrote, "Hugging you now gf. Condolence again."
