7 drug suspects nabbed with shabu, gun inside Pasig home

Seven people, including a man in the drug watchlist of Pasig Police, were arrested by policemen with over P70, 000 worth of shabu and a firearm inside a house in Pasig City on Sunday dawn (February 21).

The Eastern Police District (EPD) identified the suspects as Ronel B. Collo, 23; Arnel C. Octa, 24; Orlie H. Arellano, 21; Trixie F. Elenzano, 24; Mark Bryan S. Daggao, 21; Efren B. Merida, 24; and James Anthony B. Cellona, 33.

Initial investigation showed that around 3:30 a.m., policemen received a report from a concerned citizen about an armed man roving on Ison Street in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig.

Policemen who were dispatched to verify the report saw Collo with a gun tucked in his waist.

When he noticed that the police officers were about to approach him, Collo immediately fled on foot towards a nearby house owned by Cellona.

The six other suspects were caught in the act of sniffing shabu inside the house, prompting the policemen to apprehend them.

Confiscated from them were a caliber .38 revolver, shabu with a street value of P78, 400, P600 worth of marijuana, and various drug paraphernalia.

EPD said Collo is in the drug watchlist of the Pasig City Police.

The seven drug suspects are now under the custody of the Pasig City Police Station.
