Cop seized in Binondo yet to be found

A policeman abducted by armed men in Binondo, Manila Thursday has yet to be found Sunday.

The victim, Corporal Allan Hilario, was seized by around 10 armed men wearing black clothes onboard a maroon Honda City car at 2:05 p.m. at Sto. Cristo corner San Fernando St.

The kidnappers also appeared to be looking for something at the police officer's motorcycle before fleeing toward Jaboneros St. in Binondo.

Police Lt. Col. Rollyfer Capoquian, Manila Police District Station 11 (Binondo) commander, clarified that Hilario, who is assigned at the San Nicolas Police Community Precinct, was not deployed at the site.

A witness reportedly told him that a woman pointed at the police officer before he was abducted.

Capoquian said they are still investigating what could have been the motive for the abduction because Hilario has not received any threats to his life.

One of the possible angles that they are looking at is the abducted police officer may have had an argument with someone.

Follow-up operation is ongoing for the arrest of the perpetrators.
