1,706 students make it as PH Science High School scholars
Around 1,706 students have been qualified to the Philippine Science High School System (PSHS System) Requirements for Admission, Criteria and Evaluation (RACE), the Department of Science and Technology-- Philippine Science High School System (DOST-PSHS System) has bared.
It was DOST Secretary Fortunato de la Peña, chairperson of the PSHS System Board of Trustees, who announced Saturday, Feb.20, the names of the successful qualifiers to the PSHS System-RACE as incoming Grade 7 scholars.
A total of 85 qualifiers "chose not to publish their names in line with the Data Privacy Act”, the DOST-PSHS System said in a Facebook post.
The two-stage screening process was conducted in January to February this year to arrive at a final list of principal qualifiers.
The DOST-PSHS System advised qualifiers to immediately contact the Registrar or the Campus Director of the PSHS campus where they are qualified to enroll or visit www.pshs.edu.ph for more information about early enrollment.
It said the deadline for slot confirmation of principal qualifiers is on March 6 for Main Campus qualifiers and March 20 for regional campus qualifiers.
"PSHS campuses shall announce specific schedule of other enrollment activities,” it said.
Alternate qualifiers will be called starting March 22, it added.
Meanwhile, the 85 principal qualifiers, who signified not to announce their name publicly, will receive an email and call from the PSHSS-OED/ campus where they are qualified to enroll, the DOST-PSHS System said.
