Lawyer Freddie Villamor, the legal counsel of the family of victims Sonya and Frank Anthony Gregorio, said that they already presented the teen before the court as a witness during the second hearing of the case.

“We already presented our second witness. Siya ‘yung kumuha ng video noong mangyari ‘yung insidente (She was the one who took the video when the incident happened),” Villamor told Super Radyo dzBB.

Villamor identified the witness but this reporter opted not to divulge her identity for security purposes.

Villamor said the witness' answers during the hearing were very straightforward although she turned emotional when the video was presented in the court.

“Very straightforward po ang pagsagot ng bata dahil palibhasa, totoo naman ‘yong sasabihin niya. ‘Yon nga lang, it came to a point na noong pinalabas na ‘yung video, napaiyak ‘yung bata nang makita niya ulit ‘yung point doon sa video na binaril ni Nuezca 'yung (The child was very straightforward perhaps because all of her answers were true. It also came to a point that when the video was shown, Calosing became emotional at the part when Nuezca gunned down ),” Villamor said.

The video showed that the shooting happened on Dec. 20, 2020 when the daughter of Nuezca figured in an argument with Sonya. The cop’s daughter was seen yelling at the old woman while saying that her father is a policeman.

Nuezca appeared to get annoyed when the older Gregorio yelled back at his daughter. A few seconds later, the cop shot Sonya in the head at close range. Nuezca also shot Frank, who was with her mother at the time.

Florentino Gregorio, the husband of Sonya and father of Frank, testified in the court during the first hearing last February 4.

Florentino underscored the importance of the video captured by the teen witness in the investigation of the case.

Villamor said the next hearing is scheduled on March 11, Thursday.
