DOTr suspends emission test center in Zambo for falsifying results

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has ordered the suspension of a private emission testing center (PETC) in Zamboanga Del Norte for the falsification of emission test results.

In an announcement on Friday,  Feb. 19, the agency said a preliminary suspension order was issued against San Roque VJ Emission Testing Center located in Upper Turno, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte.

The DOTr said the suspension order, which was issued by the department's Investigation Security and Law Enforcement Staff (ISLES), is effective for 90 days.

Copies of the suspension order were also served to the PETC IT Service Provider, which will also be subject to the same penalties if it disregards the directive by continuing to process any data transmitted by such PETCs.
