K-dramas ‘Welcome to Waikiki,’ ‘Flower of Evil’ to be Filipino-dubbed on Viu


'Welcome to Waikiki' and 'Flower of Evil' (Viu) 

The Korean dramas “Welcome to Waikiki” and “Flower of Evil” will be available in Filipino-dubbed formats on video streaming platform Viu. 

“Welcome to Waikiki” stars Kim Jung-hyun of “Mr. Queen” and “Crash Landing on You,” Lee Yi-kyung and Son Seung-won. 

It follows the story of three friends who started a guesthouse to save money to finance their own movie. 

Kim Jung-hyun plays the role of Dong-gu, who manages the guesthouse and dreams of becoming a movie director. Joon Ki (Lee Yi-kyung) aims for stardom as an actor but only gets bit roles and Doo Shik (Son Seung-won) tries takes on odd part-time jobs to help in paying the trio’s looming debt. 

They run into unusual and funny events to keep the guesthouse afloat and accomplish their dreams. 

On the other hand, “Flower of Evil” is a suspense melodrama starring Lee Joon-gi as Baek Hee-sung and Moon Chae-won as Cha Jiwon. 

Cha Ji-won, a detective, is married to Baek Hee-sung and they have a daughter. Baek Hee-sung is like a loving husband and father but he hides his past and lives under another person’s identity, completely deceiving his wife. Cha Ji-won learns about his deception and his past.  

New episodes of the Filipino-dubbed “Welcome to Waikiki” and “Flower of Evil” will be available for free every Friday and Saturday on Viu starting on Feb. 19.
