Tricia Gosingtian shows how to trim wispy face-framing bangs

With the lockdown in place, and we're all trying to save on expenses, maintaining any type of bangs can be a challenge. Content creator Tricia Gosingtian thought of sharing some tried-and-tested tips on how to cut your own bangs at home. In her case, it's wispy layered bangs. Here's how:

She starts off by parting her hair in the middle first. "Using my ear as the guideline, section the whole front part by drawing a line (maybe 1-2 inches from your hairline—this depends on you) from the top of your head to where your ears start. Your hairline will thank you for this!)

She shows the line from the top of her head that ends on her ear.

Then, she made a small triangle section just on top of her forehead. "The smaller the triangle, the thinner the bangs." She also shared that you can cut below your eyes, or above them if you don't want to style it. "For face framing layers on the side, cut until your jawline. Then blend by cutting diagonally."

She also drew a line on her selfie shot to show off where to start and end for face framing bangs.

And here is the finish product!

Remember, start with small snips and work your way. Practice also makes perfect. In any case this doesn't go well, there's always the salon to help remedy it.
