Illegal LPG refilling plant busted in Bulacan, 11 arrested

NORZAGARAY, Bulacan -- Members of the Bulacan Intelligence Unit busted an illegal LPG refilling plant and arrested 11 persons engaged in the illegal trade of petroleum products in Barangay Bigte this town on Monday.

More than 100 LPG tanks and vehicles were recovered.

Col. Lawrence B. Cajipe, Bulacan police director, identified the arrested suspects as Enrique Rivera III of Brgy. Sta.Rosa II Marilao; Gemma Rosello of Pabahay Muzon City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM); Arsenito Diocampo of Barangay Minuyan CSJDM; Mark Anthony Casucot of Nabus Bigte Norzagaray; Richard Suerte Felipe of Kamagong St. San Vicente Malolos City; Joel Buloron of Barangay Bigte Norzagaray; Randmar Castro of CSJDM; Mark Gil Carin of Nabus Bigte Norzagaray; Francisco Ramos of Brgy. San Vicente Malolos City; Paul John Sarenas of Barangay Bigte Norzagaray, and Mark Anthony Torrenueva of Barangay Bigte this town. Bulacan.

Based on the police report, the Bulacan Intelligence Unit received an anonymous letter from an individual who claimed to be a legitimate refiller of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

Authorities conducted a buy-bust operation inside Tiger Gaz Corporation LPG Refilling Plant in Barangay Bigte.

The suspects were caught in the act of refilling several LPG tanks without brand names while others bear various brands such as Petron, Solane, Phinoy, Rising Sun, Continental, Shellane, Sam Gas, and others. The suspects failed to present pertinent documents/permits from the Department of Energy, the Bureau of Fire Protection, and authorization from the company that owns the tanks/cylinders.

Recovered from the suspects were 100 pieces LPG tanks/ cylinder tanks of different brand names and delivery vehicles.

The arrested suspects and the seized LPG tanks and vehicles were brought to the Provincial Intelligence Unit at Camp General Alejo Santos in the City of Malolos for documentation and filing of a criminal complaint before the Bulacan Provincial Prosecutors Office for Violation of PD 1865.
