In the update of the now-viral post of Facebook user Walter So, he said “nanay” was given a new laptop by a donor who asked to keep his identity anonymous.

So said that the donor coordinated with Powermac Greenbelt for the turnover of the brand-new laptop.

“Super, super salamat po sa nagbigay, napaka-buti po ninyo. Nakakaiyak (Thank you so much to the donor, you’re a good person. This makes me want to cry),” “nanay” said in the short video added by So in the post.

So said the mother, around 50 years old, frequently goes to the store to use the demo laptop for free so that she could open her Facebook and chat with family on Facebook.

He said the personnel of the gadget store refer to her as “nanay (mother).”

The netizen lauded the store personnel for being so kind with “nanay” as they also taught her to use a MacBook.

“It’s good that technology enables us to at least virtually keep in touch, at least for those who can afford,” said So. “But for those that can’t, there are people like these employees who give a helping hand.  Good job!”

So said the people who shared his post helped “nanay.”
