Koreans tell Hyun Bin, Son Ye-jin to get married after seeing #SmartBinJin ad

The new Smart commercial featuring Korean stars and real-life couple Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin has generated a lot of buzz in South Korea with netizens commenting the two should get married.

On Valentine’s Day, Smart unveiled its new 5G technology ad campaign starring Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin.

In the ad, Son Ye-jin tells Hyun Bin, “I do” as he asked her, “Do you believe this is possible?” regarding Smart’s 5G service.

This is the couple’s first advertisement to be released since they acknowledged that they are in a romantic relationship last Jan. 1.

Smart announced Hyun Bin as the new face of the company in June last year followed by Son Ye-jin in August.

Korean netizens can’t help but be awed by the chemistry and love from the two in the commercial.

Some of the comments include “Get married right now,” “That can’t be acting,” “Get married,” “‘Crash Landing’ again,” “Pretty couple,” “Marriage” and “Now that you have filmed an advertisement, you should get married.”

Last Jan. 1, a Korean media outlet published photos of the two dating. The stars’ agencies confirmed that the two are in a relationship, which started in March, or a month after “Crash Landing on You” aired its final episode in February.

Son Ye-jin personally confirmed her romance with Hyun Bin in an Instagram post on the same day.

“I’m thankful for being able to meet a good person and I will try to take care of it (relationship),” she posted.

In his speech at the 2020 APAN Star Awards last Jan. 23, Hyun Bin, who took home the grand prize, said, “I would like to thank Son Ye-jin’s Yoon Se-ri for being the best partner of Ri Jeong-hyeok. I was able to imbue Ri Jeong-hyeok and make him look great thanks to the character Yoon Se-ri that Son Ye-jin portrayed well.”
