Execration is all set to continue its chase for a first MPL-Philippines title as it revealed its final lineup for Season 7 on Tuesday night, February 14.
Mainstays Joshua "Ch4knu" Mangilog (tank) and Patrick "E2MAX" Caidic (mage-support) will lead the campaign of the boys in black and blue, who are eyeing to sustain the gains from their third-place finish last season.
Execration looks nothing but a legitimate championship contender with the addition of two-time MPL champions Kiel VJ "Kielvj" Hernandez (mid laner/jungler) and Renz "Renzio" Cadua (EXP laner).
Kielvj and Renzio won back-to-back MPL crowns in Seasons 4 and 5 with Sunsparks, which rebranded to Aura Philippines in Season 6.
The two were released following Aura's dismal 5th-8th finish in the previous season and were replaced by former Cignal Ultra hyper-carry Mark "Hadess" Lazaro and ex-Execration sidelaner Benedict "Bennyqt" Gonzales.
Renzio is also back to an active playing role after serving as the sixth man of the two-time champion team in the past two seasons.
Veteran pro Billy "Z4pnu" Alfonso, who previously said that he would be back on an active playing position, took a step back once more and settled for the sixth man role to give way for rookie Duane "Kelra" Pillas (gold laner).
"We will always strive hard for greatness and this roster is more than ready to give it their all," Execration said in a Facebook post
Execration almost lost its right to get a direct invite to the MPL Season 7 after the departure of Bennyqt, Jaylord "Hate" Gonzales (Onic PH) and Jeff "S4gitnu" Subang (Aether Main).
Despite going down to three holdovers in Z4pnu, Ch4knu and E2MAX, Execration still managed to put up impressive performances in pre-MPL tournaments, even winning the Just ML Cup 2021 with a sweet sweep of Aura earlier this month.
