Filipino folk-pop group Ben&Ben released today, Feb. 14, their new single “Inevitable,” which is the theme song of Smart’s new commercial featuring real-life couple Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, stars of the hit drama “Crash Landing on You.”

The #SmartBinJin commercial features Son Ye-jin telling Hyun Bin, “I do” as he asked her, “Do you believe this is possible?” This refers to Smart’s 5G service “at the palm of your hands.”

“How do you know?” Hyun Bin asked her and she said, “Simple. Smart ako.”

Hyun Bin, 38, and Son Ye-jin, 39, admitted on Jan. 1 that they are now a couple after starring in “Crash Landing on You.” He recently bought a 4.8 billion won ($4.3 million) penthouse in Guri City in Gyeonggi Province, fuelling talks about marriage plans between them, which his agency denied.

“Inevitable” encourages listeners to live in the moment freely and truthfully without the need to succumb to expectations.

“Many of us are mega fans of the CLOY couple, so this is definitely a dream collaboration with Smart. We can’t help but be kilig and at the same time wish that our co-fans who would hear the song would also connect it with the evolving story of Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin. It’s also our gift to the fans, and to the couple as well. We’d like to thank Smart for this amazing opportunity,” said Ben&Ben’s Patricia Lasaten.

According to lead singer Paolo Benjamin, “‘Inevitable’ is a song that tries to describe the nature of fate, and how all our actions somehow lead us to some better place that is destined for us. It’s also a song about being real with someone, and that no matter how scary that may seem at times, there is freedom in bearing your truest nature with someone dear to you, even if that someone is yourself.”

When their relationship was confirmed, Son Ye-jin took to Instagram on Jan. 1 and wrote, “I’m thankful for being able to meet a good person and I will try to take care of it (relationship).”

At the 2020 APAN Star Awards last Jan. 23, grand prize winner Hyun Bin said, ““I would like to thank Son Ye-jin’s Yoon Se-ri for being the best partner of Ri Jeong-hyeok. I was able to imbue Ri Jeong-hyeok and make him look great thanks to the character Yoon Se-ri that Son Ye-jin portrayed well.”
