Love on Instagram: Cheesy pick-up lines from Nograles draw priceless reaction from wife Marga

People say having a sense of humor is a key ingredient to a happy and strong relationship. Being silly and making each other laugh matter.

On Valentine’s Day, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles showed that love jokes, no matter how corny or cheesy these may be, are indeed part of a joyful relationship. 

In a latest post on Instagram, Nograles dished out some pick-up lines to show his love and affection for his wife Marga Nograles. The couple wore matching red outfits when they filmed a video on Instagram to celebrate the special day of hearts. 

In the video, Nograles fired off his first vegetable-themed pun to his wife.

Karlo: “Pechay ka ba?”

Marga: “Bakit?”

Karlo: “Kasi pechay na pechay na ako sa iyo:”

Marga’s reaction to her husband’s joke was priceless. She had a puzzled look on her face, apparently finding her husband’s pick-up line either corny or confusing. Nograles couldn’t help but laugh at his own joke. 

Determined to make his wife smile, Nograles attempted to crack another pick-up line. 

Karlo: “Sibuyas, kamatis, bawang ka ba?”

Marga: “Bakit?”

Karlo: “Kasi kulang ang sangkap ng buhay ko kapag wala ka.”

Upon hearing the joke, Marga frowned a bit at the corny pun and then let out a smile. The Cabinet member and his wife started to laugh as the song “Hanap-hanap” by James Reid and Nadine Lustre played in the background. The video ended with heart emojis and a Valentine’s Day greeting. 

In the IG post, Nograles thanked his wife for bearing with his love jokes. 

“Thankful to have a wife na laging game sa kakulitan ko. Haha. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!” he said.
