Villar teases public with scenic view of Pangasinan beachside bike lane

How about a bike lane by the beach in Pangasinan?

Exploring the province's Tondaligan Beach will soon include the option of a long, scenic, and refreshing bike ride once a 1.2-kilometer bike lane along its shores gets finished.

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar on Wednesday, February 10, teased the public of with a pre-completion look of the bike lane by the beach.

Villar shared on his official Facebook account a picturesque drone shot of the bike lane dubbed as "the longest bike route in Pangasinan."

The bike lane sits just meters away from the beach, allowing visitors to carry out a top-notch cardio workout while breathing in the clean breeze.

The inviting bike lane is among the features the local government's "The Baywalk" project, which also provides the installation of park benches, plants, and ramps for persons with disabilities.

Villar has already visited the bike lane project in January during the opening of the Urdaneta Bypass Road. He was in complete awe upon seeing the project saying, "I felt like I'm in another country."

Aside from the DPWH, the Department of Tourism is also a close partner of the local government in the project.
