President Duterte has made his decision whether to receive the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine in public or private and will announce it to the people, Malacañang said.

Presidential spokesman Harry Roque made the statement after announcing early this week that the President will be enjoying priority in the government's vaccination program.
In his Thursday presser, Roque said that he knows of Duterte's decision but will leave it to the President to announce it to the public.
"I know of the decision of the President already... But I'm not at authority to make public that decision," he said.
"The President will make that pronouncement himself," he added.
President Duterte has expressed a preference for either the Chinese or Russian COVID-19 vaccine but neither has been given the emergency use authorization (EUA) by the government.
In his presser, Roque reiterated that Duterte prefers to be vaccinated with the Chinese vaccine.
"I can say that the President's decision is consistent that he prefers Chinese," he said.
President Duterte has expressed willingness to be the first Filipino to receive a vaccine jab in the Philippines.
However, Roque said last month that Duterte will receive the vaccine in private and will be injected into his buttocks.
The country is set to receive its first batch of COVID-19 vaccines next week.
