LOOK: Facebook changes Like button in celebration of Lunar New Year

Feel the Lunar New Year online while public celebrations are still prohibited due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) related restrictions.

On Thursday, Feb. 11, social media giant Facebook unveiled an updated version of its Like button.

The revamped like button now features the bright colors of Lunar New Year, red and gold.

"Celebrate Lunar New Year with festive likes! For a limited time, you can use the like button to wish good fortune and a happy new year to friends and family," Facebook said.

Lunar New Year falls on Friday, Feb. 12. 

The new year welcomes the Year of the Ox.
