Lonely on Valentine’s Day? VP Leni receives bouquet of flowers

Vice President Leni Robredo may have been single, but it doesn’t mean she feels being alone.

Her lawyers put in extra effort on Wednesday to show their love for her, gifting Leni with a bouquet of flowers ahead of  Valentine’s Day on February 14.

In photos released by the Office of the Vice President (OVP), election lawyer Romulo Macalintal was seen handing roses to Robredo at the Quezon City Reception House.

Macalintal is Robredo’s lead counsel in the electoral protest filed by former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. before the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET).

Other members of the vice president’s legal team also visited Robredo in her office.

This would be Robredo’s ninth Valentine’s Day without her late husband, Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo.

Jesse, who was also a six-term Naga City mayor, was killed in a plane crash in August 2012. He left behind his wife and their three daughters—Aika, Tricia, and Jillian.

The vice president has repeatedly said she has no intention of replacing Jesse in her heart because she had “enough love to last me for a lifetime.”
