Las Piñas police search for senior suspect who killed neighbor, wounded another
A 71-year-old man who escaped after fatally shooting his neighbor and seriously wounding another on Wednesday afternoon (February 10) in Las Piñas City is now being searched by police authority.
The suspect was identified as Ernesto Francisco and a resident of Abrille St., BFRV, Talon 2, Las Piñas City.
Police identified the fatality as Ricky Dimatulac, 50 and the wounded victim as Dominic Duclayan, 38 – both neighbors of the suspect.
The police said Dimatulac was declared dead on arrival at the University of Perpetual Help Hospital while Duclayaan is still under observation at the same hospital.
Investigation showed that prior to the shooting incident, Francisco approached Duclayan at about 1:40 p.m. due to the noise created by his motorcycle.
The son of Duclayan, Dwayne, who witnessed the incident told police that during the confrontation, the suspect immediately pulled out a firearm and shot the victim including Dimatulac who was trying to pacify Francisco.
Dwayne told the police that after the shooting incident, Franciso was able to escape on board his Ford Everest with plate number ZSH-124 going to an unknown direction.
