Bacoor LGU conducts vaccination rollout simulation, prepares for 'what-if' scenarios

BACOOR CITY, Cavite - The Bacoor City government conducted a vaccination rollout simulation in Southern Tagalog Regional Hospital on Wednesday (Feb. 10).

Thirty healthcare workers, government employees, and social workers acted as vaccine recipients who went through registration, counseling, assessment, vaccination, and monitoring.

Various "what if" scenarios were simulated during the exercise, including declining vaccination for a non-qualified patient and responding to adverse effects after immunization.

The city government is preparing 16 vaccination sites to immunize around 430,000 residents or 70 percent of its total population. Its Mega Vaccination Hub will be established at the Bacoor Coliseum, while the rest of the vaccination sites will be established in the city's public schools.

The local government unit (LGU) is now preparing to enter a tripartite agreement with a pharmaceutical company to provide vaccines to residents not covered by the national government's allocation.
