The low pressure area (LPA) east of Visayas has dissipated but another has formed east of Mindanao on Wednesday morning, Feb. 10.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) estimated the LPA's location at 910 kilometers east of Mindanao around 10 a.m. It has also no direct effect yet over any part of the country as of Wednesday.
So far, PAGASA said the LPA is less likely to develop into a tropical depression in the next 24 to 36 hours.
PAGASA said the tail-end of the frontal system, which is the convergence of cold air coming from the northeast monsoon or "amihan" and warm air originating from the easterlies, may affect the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas.
Light to moderate with at times heavy rains will be experienced over Biliran, Leyte, Northern Samar, Samar, Eastern Samar, Southern Leyte, Albay, Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Sorsogon, Masbate, Romblon, Marinduque, Aurora and Quezon in the next 24 hours.
PAGASA warned of possible flooding or rain-induced landslides that may occur during heavy or prolonged periods of rainfall, especially in areas that are highly susceptible to these hazards.
Moreover, it advised those in adjacent or nearby areas that may not have been directly affected by the rainfall to remain alert due to the possibility of flooding from surface runoff or swelling of river channels.
