Versatile actor and leading man Ken Chan remains a full-fledged Kapuso as he renewed his exclusive contract with GMA Network on Feb. 8.
Present during the contract signing were GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable, GMA Vice President for Drama Productions Redgie Acuña-Magno, GMA Senior Assistant Vice President for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara, GMA Artist Center Assistant Vice President and Head for Talent Imaging and Marketing Unit Simoun Ferrer, GMAAC Senior Talent Manager Tracy Garcia, and Program Manager Nini Matilac.
Ken expressed his gratitude to the Network for trusting in his acting competence and for taking care of him since he entered show business.
Talagang minahal nila yung mga proyektong ginawa ko.” he said.
As a host and a performer, Ken has dabbled in various projects that made him a mainstay in various television shows. With his irresistible charm and wide acting range, Ken continues to capture the hearts of his audience.
Currently, Ken is one of the mainstays of the musical-variety-comedy program All-Out Sundays. He is also set to headline the upcoming drama series ‘Ang Dalawang Ikaw’ where his character will tackle Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID).
His fans should also look forward to his movie with Rita Daniela titled “Huling Ulan Sa Tag-araw” and the fourth season of the all-original musical competition “The Clash” where he is one of the Journey Hosts.
Aside from these projects, the Kapuso star has now also ventured into business.
Meanwhile, Rasonable is proud to have Ken as a Kapuso, "We’re very happy na Ken is still with GMA. We’re always gratified to give him varied roles kasi napakita niya talaga na napaka-talented niyang artista. Out Sundays and The Clash. He can host, kumakanta siya, nakakasayaw, kumbaga total package si Ken."
Ferrer said that the network will continue to provide good projects for Ken that will further his career and stature in the entertainment scene, “We can see how Ken has grown into one of the most talented actors of his generation. We know what he is capable of as an actor and a performer so we’ll continue to give him quality projects and support him in his endeavors.”
