Lalamove will cease its food delivery service, LalaFood, on Feb. 16.

In a statement released on Feb. 8, Lalamove said Feb. 15 will be the “last day of Lalafood platform operations.”
Lalamove said LalaFood will cease operations following the company’s decision to redirect its focus entirely on its “core” delivery business.
“We express our deepest gratitude to all of LalaFood’s customers for your continued support, and to our partner riders and merchants who were with us throughout this journey,” the company said.
“2021 will continue to be another year of strong growth for Lalamove in the Philippines. We are committed to strengthening our investment in the Philippines to better serve our customers and provide more opportunities for our diver-partners and employees,” it added.
Lalamove first started LalaFood in 2018 to “explore the food delivery sector.”
Since its launch, LalaFood has become one of the dominant food delivery services in Metro Manila alongside GrabFood and FoodPanda.
