Roque goes on isolation after staff member tests positive for COVID-19
Presidential spokesman Harry Roque will not be able to physically attend President Duterte's weekly meeting with members of the government's pandemic task force as he went on isolation after being in close contact with a patient who tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Roque was likewise forced to hold his regular Monday pressers due to the situation.
"Work-from-home po tayo ngayon dahil meron tayong isang staff member na nag-test na positibo (We will be working from home for now because one of my staff members tested positive for COVID-19)," he said.
The Palace official said that while he had already tested negative for the disease, he chose to follow protocol and go on isolation.
"Bagama't negative tayo kahapon noong tayo ay nag-PCR para sana sa pagpupulong kay Presidente mamaya, eh kinakailangan sumunod pa rin po sa mga protocols (Even though my PCR test yesterday came out negative for the meeting with the President later, we need to follow the protocols)," he said.
This is Roque's third time resorting to a work-from-home arrangement after being in contact with a COVID-19-positive patient.
In September last year, Roque underwent self-isolation after a member of his security detail tested positive for COVID-19. The month before that, Roque observed self-quarantine after Interior Secretary Eduardo Año tested positive for the second time.
