Chinese falls in Pasay drug ops; crashes car while trying to escape


Anti-narcotics police arrested an alleged Chinese drug peddler during a buy-bust operation at a residential complex in Pasay City on Wednesday night.

Police identified the suspect as Li Zu Hui, 31, currently residing at Shell Residences Tower D, Barangay 76, Pasay City.

Investigation showed that the operation was launched by members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) at around 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday in front of Shore Residences Tower C/D along Sunrise Dr. Brgy. 76, Pasay City.

According to the report from the Southern Police District (SPD), Hui attempted to escape while onboard his Nissan Terra that caused him to hit a nearby men's salon.

Operatives informed the Traffic Investigation Unit of the Pasay City Police Station through PSMS Marianito Agas who responded and assisted at the scene. Police seized methamphetamine hydrochloride or suspected shabu weighing less than five grams from Li worth P34,000.

They also recovered 12 different IDs, a plastic canister with tubes, 20 unsealed foil packs, and the P7,500 buy-bust money.

Li is now detained at the SDEU facility. The recovered illegal drugs will be turned over to the SPD Crime Laboratory Office for analysis.
