Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the core team composed of doctors, nurses, health workers, and barangay officials was organized to coordinate and ensure smooth flow at the 10 vaccination sites in District 1 and 2 during the rollout.

She said the main function of the core team is to make sure that coronavirus will not spread at the registration and vaccination sites.

On February 2, Aguilar conducted a planning session with the City Health officers and barangay officials to ensure their readiness in conducting vaccination to residents once the 300,000 AstraZeneca vaccines procured by the city government arrive.

The city government is targeting to inoculate 50 to 60 percent of its population for free.

The mayor also told barangay officials to submit their respective data on the number of residents in their area of jurisdiction and not to include in their list those senior citizens with illness.
