Is Janine Gutierrez open to portraying Valentina?

Janine Gutierrez was recently asked if she's open to the idea of portraying the role of Valentina, the supervillain created by Mars Ravelo and Nestor Redondo as part of "Darna."

She answered, “It’s so interesting to me, kasi, of course, I’m a fan of 'Darna,' I’m a fan of all the old films... Siyempre, flattered ako na nakikita ako ng ibang tao na mapasama sa ganoong klaseng proyekto. So, I don’t know, we’ll see."

According to Janine, she could still remember watching her grandmother, music icon Pilita Corrales, playing the role in the 1994 movie “Darna: Ang Pagbabalik,” headlined by Anjanette Abayari.

ABS-CBN announced late last year they will air "Darna" as a TV series, starring Jane De Leon.

There's still no official statement as to when the show will air.
