Viva Entertainment launches new streaming app

Viva Entertainment has officially launched the new streaming app Vivamax, a one-stop entertainment hub where Filipino movie fans can access the biggest library of Pinoy films, TV series, documentaries, music specials and most of all, Vivamax Originals.

For its first offer, Vivamax has released over 200 local and international titles. Among these movies are: “Maybe This Time” with the powerhouse pair of Sarah Geronimo and Coco Martin; “Sanggano, Sanggago’t Sanggwapo” featuring Janno Gibbs, Dennis Padilla, and Andrew E.; and
“Kita Kita”, the highest-grossing Filipino independent film which stars Alessandra de Rossi and Empoy Marquez.

There are also Korean blockbusters, Asian and Hollywood content which include Keanu Reeves’ “John Wick 1&2”, “Train to Busan” with Gong Yoo; and lastly “IP Man 3” starring multi-awarded martial artist actor, Donnie Yen.

Concurrent with the full commercial release, Vivamax premiered the first Vivamax Original Movie, “Paglaki Ko, Gusto Kong Maging Pornstar” on Jan. 29. This is the much-awaited meta movie bringing together Alma Moreno, Ara Mina, Maui Taylor, and Rosanna Roces, the best bold stars from multi-generations, in their quest to create the next Philippine pornstar. Upcoming beauties, AJ Raval, Rose Van Ginkel and Ana Jalandoni complete the cast as the nextgen pornstars.

Viva’s Boss Vic del Rosario is also committed to release 10 additional titles and content including one new movie or series weekly and has allocated 1 billion worth of investments only for this.

On Feb. 5, Vivamax will feature the movies “SUAREZ: The Healing Priest”, from the direction of Joven M. Tan, starring John Arcilla; and Director Al Tantay’s “Pakboys: Takusa”, Metro Manila Film Festival 2020 entry which stars Janno Gibbs, Dennis Padilla, Jerald Napoles, and Andrew E.

On Feb. 12, Vivamax will release Vivamax Original Series, “Parang Kayo Pero Hindi”, an adaptation of the best-selling book by Noringai starring Marco Gumabao, Kylie Verzosa, and Xian Lim and directed by RC de los Reyes (director of Alter Me and Love the Way you Lie); Veronica Velasco’s (director of Through Night and Day and Nuuk) “Mia”, Coleen Garcia and Edgar Allan Guzman first romantic comedy movie; and the controversial documentary “Call Her Ganda”, which explores the murder of the transgender woman, Jennifer Laude.
