PCSO announces 5th major lotto jackpot winner this month

Just days after a lone bettor won a major prize, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced that another one hit the jackpot after guessing the correct combination for the Lotto 6/42 drawn this weekend.

PCSO, in a public advisory, announced that a winning ticket from Morong in Bataan bagged the P7.8-million Lotto 6/45 jackpot prize drawn on Saturday, Jan. 30.

The lone winner bagged a total of 7, 800, 424.40-prize in the Lotto 6/4 after guessing the winning combination: 22-18-16-20-13-30. The 6/45 Megalotto is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

A total of 43 bettors, who guessed five correct winning numbers, also won second prize and will receive P24,000 each.

Just this month, there are already a total of five major winners. PCSO earlier confirmed that a bettor from Polangui in Albay won the P36, 022, 560.80 Megalotto 6/45 jackpot prize which was drawn on Jan. 27 while another one from Dasmarinas in Cavite also bagged a total of Php 20, 130, 966.60 jackpot prize in the Lotto 6/42 which was drawn Jan. 23.

PCSO said that a lone bettor from Tabaco City in Albay bagged a total of Php 21, 272, 518.20 jackpot prize in the Lotto 6/42 which was drawn on Jan. 7. Another one from Gapan, Nueva Ecija also won Php 34, 691, 773.00 jackpot prize in the Super Lotto 6/49 which was drawn last Jan. 3.  

PCSO said that winners need to go to its Main Office in Mandaluyong City and present the winning ticket and two identification cards when claiming their prizes. The jackpot prize is taxable by 20% pursuant to TRAIN Law as well as those above P10,000.

Meanwhile, PCSO continues to urge the public to patronize its games so the office can generate funds to be used in providing assistance to Filipinos who are in need.

The PCSO has various initiatives such as health programs and medical assistance or services - among others. One of its key programs is the Medical Access Program designed to augment the medical needs of Filipinos nationwide - particularly hospital confinement, chemotherapy, dialysis, and post-transplant medicines.

From Jan. 24 to 29, 2021, PCSO said that over P125 million has been released to help Filipinos in need coming from various parts of the country.
