OPM artist Rachel Alejandro gushes over VP Leni look-alike comments

Vice President Leni Robredo

OPM artist Rachel Alejandro is simply flattered by comments that she closely resembles Vice President Leni Robredo.

Alejandro made the remarks after a netizen confused her for the Vice President recently.

"VP Leni, ako din po, I got so many comments that I look like you when I posted that photo on IG. Napa-smile nalang ako. Basta pag may movie tungkol sa buhay niyo, may idea na kayo sino ang puedeng mag-portray. I don’t believe we’ve properly met but let me use this opportunity to thank you for all that you do," she said on Facebook.

On Monday, Feb. 1, Robredo took to social media to clarify a post that she was relaxing in Palawan despite national concerns.

Robredo said on Facebook that a netizen mistakenly posted a photo of Alejandro with the caption: "Nasaan ang bise presidente? Busy naman pala sa Palawan. Ughhhh."

Robredo responded: "Was initially confused why a number of people are sending me this. Kalma lang po. Hindi ako yan. Andito po ako sa opisina, wala sa Palawan?Ako na po humihingi ng paumanhin kay Rachel Alejandro?"

Alejandro is known for her hit OPM songs "Nakapagtataka," "Kay Tagal," "Mr. Kupido," "May Minamahal," "Paalam Na," etc. She is the daughter of legendary OPM singer Hajji Alejandro.

She is also an occasional actor having appeared in several films. Her last appearance was for the critically-acclaimed movie "Ang Larawan The Movie (2017) and "Quezon's Game" (2019).
