Mayor Sara Duterte thanks group urging her to run for President


DAVAO CITY – A group supporting Mayor Sara Duterte held a rally at the Commission on Elections in Manila Monday to prod her to run for President in the May 2022 elections.

Duterte thanked the group who  called themselves Sara Duterte Volunteers for their support.

"Nagpasalamat ko sa ilahang suporta sa akoa (I am thankful for their support)," Duterte said during an interview with the Davao City Disaster Radio.

"I am grateful for their trust and confidence in me and what I can do and how I can help the country, daghang salamat sa ilaha," Duterte added.

The group urged the presidential daughter to continue the reforms started by her father President Duterte. The group called on the public to help them encourage the younger Duterte to run for president.
