Mariah Carey reacts to Shawn Mendes' 'grateful' post

Mariah Carey recently re-created the "grateful" post of Canadian musician Shawn Mendes, and netizens are loving it!

On Jan. 27, Shawn, who first gained notice in 2013 via the video-sharing application Vine, uploaded a photo of him with arms wide open standing in an open field.

He wrote, "Grateful (blue heart emoji) The sun, coffee, my health, my family, old Mariah Carey songs, music, humans!!!"

The post was a hit.

As of writing, it has already garnered 4,360,010 likes.

Celebs like Sam Smith, Charlie Puth, Ashe, J.R. Aquino, and Trevor Noah, among others, were among those who gave it their thumbs up.

Apparently, it also caught the attention of Mariah herself.

Mariah posted a picture of her doing what Shawn was doing, going on to mention him in the caption.


Netizens were amused, deeming her caption "iconic."

Then again, there are others who felt like Mariah is dissing Shawn, deeming her "Queen of Shade."
