180 couples sign up for free beach wedding in Cavite town this February


ROSARIO, Cavite - A total of 180 couples have signed up for the free beach wedding being offered by the municipal government to its residents this love month of February.

The local government unit (LGU) is shouldering the costs for required documents, specifically the Certificate of No Marriage Record (CENOMAR) and Birth Certificate from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

The free weddings will take place in La Isla Bonita de Salinas, a public beach owned and operated by the municipal government. The LGU will also provide flowers for each bride and a cake for every couple.

The Mayor's Office told the Manila Bulletin that as of Monday, February 1, they have received applications from 180 couples. The LGU will wed ten couples separately per day every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of February.
