Korean actor Hyun Bin bought a 4.8 billion won ($4.3 million) penthouse fuelling talks that this is connected with marriage plans with his girlfriend, actress Son Ye-jin, who was his co-star in the hit drama “Crash Landing on You.”

A Korean media outlet published an exclusive report on Jan. 30 that Hyun Bin purchased the high-end property in Achiul Village in Guri City in Gyeonggi Province, which is adjacent to Seoul. The village is famous for being the home of many entertainers and artists including actress Oh Yeon-seo and Park Jin-young.

According to the report, Hyun Bin’s home has an area of 242.45 sq. m. with a sale price of $4.3 million. He signed the contract on June 5 last year and the property was transferred under his name last January. It added that according to residents of the village, Hyun Bin moved into his new home last December.

After the news spread, talks surfaced that the marriage between Hyun Bin, 38, and Son Ye-jin, 39, is imminent. However, Hyun Bin’s agency, Vast Entertainment, denied that the property is a honeymoon house for the couple.

Last Jan. 1, Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin admitted that they are in a romantic relationship after a news report came out showing the two on a date.

“I’m thankful for being able to meet a good person and I will try to take care of it (relationship),” wrote Son Ye-jin on Instagram on the same day.

Hyun Bin won the “daesang” or grand prize at the 2020 APAN Star Awards on Jan. 23 for “Crash Landing on You” and in his speech, he thanked Son Ye-jin.

“I would like to thank Son Ye-jin’s Yoon Se-ri for being the best partner of Ri Jeong-hyeok. I was able to imbue Ri Jeong-hyeok and make him look great thanks to the character Yoon Se-ri that Son Ye-jin portrayed well,” Hyun Bin said.
