The Manila City government on Friday identified 18 sites in the city that will be used for the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) vaccination program.
Dr. Arnold Pangan, Manila Health Department (MHD) chief, listed the following sites during a presentation before the Coordinated Operations to Defeat Epidemic (CODE) Team:

The city government has identified which barangays are nearest to each COVID-19 vaccine site.
Each district also has a designated hospital where COVID-19 vaccine patients can be brought to in case of emergencies:
●District 1 - Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center
●District 2 - Ospital ng Tondo
●District 3 - Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital
●District 4 - Ospital ng Sampaloc
●District 5 - Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center
●District 6 - Sta. Ana Hospital
The city's 12 new high-end ambulances and members of the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), Manila Police District (MPD), and Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB) will be deployed to manage emergencies.
There will also be one doctor per site for emergency cases.
Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso said they are targeting to vaccinate 1,000 individuals at each site per day.
There will be three teams of health workers per site. The three teams will include three physicians, three dentists, three nurses, a midwife, a HEPO, five barangay health workers, and six support staff.
Domagoso said the vaccination sites must have stable internet connection because it is needed for the vaccination process.
Earlier, the Manila mayor said they received an offer from church officials to use some of the city's big churches as vaccination sites.
Vaccination plan
Pangan said the city government's vaccination plan is divided into three phases: pre-vaccination, vaccination, and post-vaccination.
The Manila city government is currently in the pre-vaccination phase, wherein they are preparing information campaigns for the public, consolidating master lists of priority groups for the vaccine, opening pre-registration, establishing vaccination sites, and training their human resources.
Frontline health workers, senior citizens and other vulnerable sectors, uniformed personnel, and public school teachers are included in the vaccine priority list.
According to data shown by Pangan, there are a total of 13,156 MHD staff and health workers from the six Manila district hospitals, 156,679 senior citizens, 500,351 persons with disabilities and indigents, 4,879 members of the MPD.
The city government said it is still validating the number of public school teachers in the city.
Next to be inoculated are those who pre-registered for the vaccine at manilacovid19vaccine.com. As of Friday, over 78,000 individuals have pre-registered.
The Manila city government entered an agreement with British-Swedish biopharmaceutical company AstraZeneca for the advance purchase of 800,000 vaccine doses that can benefit around 400,000 people.
Domagoso said they will buy more available vaccines from other pharmaceutical firms.
For phase 2 of the city's vaccination plan, the following are the steps of the vaccination process for pre-registered patients:

If patients are walk-in registrants, they must follow the steps below:

Pangan said the process for pre-registered patients would be six minutes long, while the process for walk-in registrants would take around eleven minutes.
Patients must then stay in a holding area for up to an hour for observation.
Under phase 3, the patients' COVID-19 Vaccination IDs, that they can access through a website, will automatically update to reflect the data from the vaccination process.
The final phase of the city's vaccination plan also entails monitoring, evaluation, and submission of reports.
