Nobita seems to marry Shizuka in ‘Stand By Me Doraemon 2’

Doraemon fans went wild on social media after seeing them in the film's new poster

Looks like the years-long love story of Nobita Nobi and Shizuka Minamoto of the hit anime Doreamon is getting a sweet ending. Fans of the show went wild on social media after seeing the two wearing a suit and the other a wedding dress in the new poster of the film Stand By Me Doraemon 2.

Released last November in Japan, the sequel of the 2014 movie Stand By Me Doraemon will be having its international showing next month. Images of the movie made rounds on social media, which includes a wedding photo featuring notable characters of the show celebrating Nobita and Shizuka's nuptials.

This is not the first time the two characters were seen in their wedding garb. The original manga creator of Doraemon, Fujiko F. Fujio, wrote the anime short film Doraemon: Nobita’s the Night Before a Wedding that premiered in 1999. The movie centers on young Nobita and Doraemon, who time-traveled into the future, on the day before Old Nobita and Shizuka get married.
