Korean rapper Iron (real name: Jung Hun-cheol ) passed away today in Jung-gu, Seoul, Korean media reported. He was 29.
According to the police, a security guard found him bleeding on a flower bed at an apartment at about 10:25 a.m.. He was taken to the hospital but was declared dead.
He placed second in the rap TV show “Show Me the Money” Season 3 in 2014. He released the album “Rock Bottom” in 2016.
Last December, he was arrested and investigated by the police for assaulting his roommate with a baseball bat.
In November 2016, he was sentenced to eight months in prison suspended for two years for smoking marijuana.
The following year, he was arrested and charged for beating his girlfriend for which he was sentenced to eight months in prison suspended for two years and was ordered to complete 80 hours of community service.
